The ease!

I wish real life was as easy as point-click-ooo, new wallpaper-hate the carpet-point click-ooo, hardwood floors, but I think the sofa needs updating-point-click, you get the picture.

I agree with starrsim :D

Also, it is cool that I can make so many pretty homes with the game, I couldn't afford that in real life, but at least my Sims have beautiful homes!

With the amount of CC out there its so easy to create spaces that I actually would love to have in real life but would never be able to afford.

Yeah, the stacks of simoleons stacked on the table waiting to be spent and the nicest part would be decorating without limits, and the fact that you can delete something off without thinking its a waste. And yes, you can practice different styles of decorating without the fear that you will make it look ugly because of the "don't like it, replace it" rule. Grin

Along with being unlimiting wealthy to provide my sims with their most expensive tastes.... I do love the CC out there and the ability to recolor and make my imagination alive. I, too, build homes I would love to live in. My recolors reflect my tastes. I rarely download rugs, paintings or other recolors unless it's in a shade I can use. I like the individuality of it.

This is going to sound vain, but I really like seeing the end result framed in a picture. Of course, not all rooms lend themselves to good pictures. But if not, just furnishing them in different themes in rewarding enough.

Create something I most likely will never have in real life.

my favorite part is seeing everything at the end. (not necessarily in a picture since I have such a hard time taking them) Every room seems to be a challenge for me these days and sometimes it takes me hours or days to finish one room and weeks to finish a house. But in the end when I see my sim using everything and moving throughout the house with a high environment score, it really makes my day.  Grin I also really like the ability to express the different styles and personalities of my sims in their individual spaces. In a sense I am sure that these styles are maybe my own very weird tastes, but in the sims it is free and I can try so many different things without spending any money.  excited Another thing I like is trying to figure out how I can work with the space in a room. sometimes rooms are very small or large or have weird shapes, etc. so it is always an interesting challenge to make everything work and look nice when the spaces are hard to decorate.

so yeah....enough of my ramblings  Embarrassed

I really like the freedom of it, you can add and change without it ever costing a penny.

I love all the possibilites we have now with cc! We can make our homes look just the way we want them. I can make my RL dreams come true without costing any RL money!! Smiley

When I start decorating I usually have something in mind, but sometimes my rooms take over and go their own way! By this I mean, I start off with a certain color or style in mind, then when I'm going thru the catalog, I see something that I just know goes in this particular room, and it's not the color or style that I was originally going for! So I guess I'm really inspired by the catalogs sometimes  Grin

I love how it all comes together and that sometimes the end result is completely different then how I started, or what I had in mind.
