A small tip from me: don't mess up your rooms too much. They turn unrealistic with all this clutter. I mean, who wants or has a room that's so messy? Not me!
I like to have my room full with clutter. I tried to do the same irl. But I'm just a neat freak. So.. most of my sims houses are full with clutter ;o
A tip from me..
Uh.. Don't use those dark colored sidings all together.
For example : Red along with Yellow ( or other wrong combinations ). It just gives me a feeling like a Clown family lives over there
