Here's the dining area and the view you can see from it, in a 50s inspired house I just finished, which you can see here. The pattern on the wall and the lampshades is one I made myself!

From the reviews I've been reading there isn't a lot to select from - furniture wise. Well I gotta say that you all have done a great job with what the game has to offer and that's saying a lot for your designing skills. I'm impressed! Sarah - share! Give up the wallpaper girl it's beautiful.

Ankuuh - I'm loving the, 'Old World' theme the bedroom possess.
Declan - Those kitchen cabinets are uber cuteness!
Laure - Great shots! Your living room is full of class. Is that mirror over the fireplace a basic in-game item or did you purchase it?
macthekat - Your children's den is so full of life! Excellent color combination.
sixtyten - 'Must have wallpaper!'
*Ignorant moment: You can color ceilings? And is it just me, or is everyone else unable to shift positions of items on walls?

Nope we can't either shift the deco on the walls or for that matter recolour the ceiling - but I think I have read several EA staffers say "for now" then they answered those questions... I love those colours

Lovely rooms Dec. I'm wondering, is everything on-grid? I mean is there a 'boolprop snapobjectstogrid false' kind of cheat? I ask because it looks like the furniture is much easier to place with Sims 3.

It's automatically instilled just by pressing Alt while moving objects. It sure beats entering that long code!
