Kitchens always looks more interesting if you use things from more then one set in a room. Try to use things from set that looks similar. Perhaps one set of counters and the upper cabinets from another set. Use more-slots to put clutter on the works tops, but remember to leave some workspace free otherwise it just look to cluttered. Perhaps add a kids drawing if the family have kids or pictures with food or flowers if you are going for the country feel. Open shelves looks good as well and let you fill your kitchen with personal details
