1  Magazine Talk & General Chatter / Feedback / Re: Issue 12 feedback on: September 27, 2009, 08:21:20 pm
I always love to see the new magazine issues and this one was fantastic!  But I expect nothing less from LivingSims.  You guys do a tremendous job!

Congratulations on your 1st Anniversary!!!!  *dances*
2  Magazine Talk & General Chatter / Feedback / Re: Issue 8 on: February 13, 2009, 10:45:49 pm
This magazine looks incredible!  The cover shot blew me away, because I love warm woods, and it was oozing with warmth and rustic charm.

It's a treat to be able to sit back and read everything, and take my time.  Sooooo much to learn, the tutorials were a great addition.  There are many new things to find, that I'm so behind on.

I really enjoyed the interview with BlackOrchid.  I'm a new fan now because of it, and bookmarked her MTS2 page.  Wow, her lots are fabulous.

I also have to say I was engrossed in the "How to Make the Most With What You've Got" article - LOVED IT.  And I turned the page and saw the Patterns article, and it didn't 'click' at first...it took a few minutes and I was like, "I did a room like that before, I used the same wallpaper and bedding...and that baby's crib - Oh shoot that's MY room!"  LOL!  I yelled out, and my hubby thought something was wrong with me!  What a pleasant surprise that was!  Thank you.

Keep up the great work!
3  Magazine Talk & General Chatter / Feedback / Re: Issue 4 - General Feedback on: August 08, 2008, 05:26:09 am
I agree, the magazine is getting better and better with each issue.  This one was even more glossy spectacular and beautiful!

I was also pleased to see the spelling issues are gone!  LOL!  I know not everybody speaks English well, so its hard to write it if you don't speak it that fluently.  But, this issue was well written and spelled.  So, KUDOS!!!   OK

(btw, that Maxis swimming pool ad blew me away  - GORGEOUS!)

Those curtains look soooo familiar, and the name of them does too...olemantiker...hmmm.  Gonna have to put my thinking cap on.   Grin  I may already have them...

Edit to add:  Ahh yes!  Olemantiker is from Insimenator Forum.  The curtains come from The Breeze set!  http://www.insimenator.net/showthread.php?t=10716

Thanks bunches!  I'm sorry, I didn't see another thread for this article.

I went through the other thread and marked 'FOUND' on the things I requested, that were posted there.  But, I'm still looking for a few more things, if anybody knows.

GORGEOUS kitchen!  I'm really in awe of it because you thought of EVERYTHING.

I don't know if this was asked, my old eyes have a hard time following this thread...

WCIF the whole kitchen counters and top cabinets?  I think the bottom counters are Maxis recolors?  If so, where can I find that recolor?  And those Upper cabinets are gorgeous!  I really like the microwave sitting into that one cabinet.  WCIF the top cabinets?

Also, WCIF the beautiful round endtables shown in this pic?  The dining table?  The plant?  And lastly, the books?

Thanks so much!

10  Magazine Talk & General Chatter / Ideas / Addy Awards on: July 25, 2008, 03:41:00 pm
I was just looking through the magazine again.  I skim over it again and again when I have some free time.  *smiles*

It just came to me while browsing, that you guys should eventually have like a SimAddy Awards for the best advertisement in your magazine.  Advertising agencies in RL have the Addy Awards, and I think some of the best Sim ads I've ever seen are in your magazine!  It would be nice to give these artists some credit and public kudos for their hard work...I know its a lot of work that goes into it.

Maybe the public could vote for their favorite?

Olivier, that ceiling is a white recolor I made of JG Whiteus' ceiling found at MTS2:  http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=42789   You can download my recolor here:  http://www.mediafire.com/?bbzplvxxyzs

Those ceiling lamps come from Simcredible's Mondeo Kitchen: Pay items  http://sims2.simcredibledesigns.com/dl/htmlsobj/kitchen2.html

The curtains are actually a one-tile version of Holy Simoly's curtains.  Found at Sunni Sims, http://kimberspace.mattwork.potsdam.edu/sunnisims/category/buy-mode-objects-by-room/decor/

The brown thing over the curtains is by Shino & KCR of TSR, called a Ceiling Bar Pay itemshttp://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Shino&KCR/downloads/sims2/search_Ceiling%20Bar

The rug is found at my favorite rug site, Simply Styling Rug Sets, page 3:  http://www.simplystyling.de/homesims2.html

There ya go!  Thanks Dante for helping.

I have done that so many times, too.  LOL!  It usually happens to me in a WCIF request, and after so many people helped me, I'm too ashamed to admit I already had it.

The dining chair is from Wall Sims - Opera set.  (my recolor)  http://www.wallsims.net/the_sims_2.php?s=ws+opera&init=1

The round end table is from BabbyeSims, page 28.  (my recolor).  http://www.happy8.com/bbsims/

The couch is by kittyispretty at Natural Sims - Monterey Livingroom.  (my recolor)  but there are some pretty recolors at TSR.   http://www.naturalsims.com/living.html
