Here is a house I have been building over a couple of generations.

It started as a wee shack, with my playable living there. She's an insane, outdoor loving loner, so I moved her into the lot on the edge of the pond by the waterfall. She loves it there.

She met some dude and they had 2 kids, so they needed a bigger house eventually. Once the boys were teens I built them a second story to the house, and when one of the sons moved out I built the grandparents a wee granny flat for their bedroom and bath. Its cute!

Here is the house now

And here is generation 2 teaching generation 3 how to walk :P
The red hair and light green eyes is very very dominant in this family!

That is absolutely gorgeous! I just love it. :hehe: It looks very serene. May I ask you if you use the in camera to take your shots now or do you still use a print screen system? I heard that the in-game camera is great now! But I haven't tried yet. :-[  I probably should, being that there is no hack for the "no pause border line" out. lol I really hate it being there in the first place. lol

Hey Ajoya :) Thanks!

I just used print screen, but yeah the in game camera is perfectly fine! Force of habit for me to use the print screen though.

I am playing a house where a sister and a brother lives up near the waterfall - such a nice place but bad transit times
(http://www.mackat.dk/wp-content/gallery/the-greens/screenshot-24.jpg)

both the brother's and the sister's sweethearts moved in and I expanded the house quite a bit... with all the money they brought
(http://www.mackat.dk/wp-content/gallery/the-greens/screenshot-40.jpg)

and at night
(http://www.mackat.dk/wp-content/gallery/the-greens/screenshot-45.jpg)
hmm needs more windows

sarah, just wow.

mac, i love that house, and the setting is so pretty too.

heres a townhouse i made today, i personally think the lots in the sims 3 are way too big, and so only used half of a 20x30 lot here :)

My sister currently don't have a pc that is cable of running sims 3, really it can't really run anything reliable so she plays on my pc... I thought I would show some of her houses, so the credit goes to Kiara:

A small house, that was build from the ground up by a sim who moved to the town with her daugther

and by day - I just love the sun room she made. The daughter does not like to be outdoors, so she needed somewhere to put her telescope
(http://i449.photobucket.com/albums/qq216/mackat82/random%20stuff/Screenshot-5.jpg)

mom on the other hand is an outdoor and a garden freak, so she created an apple avenue

;D  I sure hope it's okay to revive this thread. Just showing some of my recent homes, I think I am improving with Sims 3.

My attempt at creating a Meditterrean luxury home:

My Aunt's early 20th century Heritage Home. I built it from memory:

I really like the front landscaping on the Mediterranean house, lewisb. The carport area blends so nicely with the rest.

Thanks mac, its a personal favourite of mine too. The house is actually a replica of the house from the TV show Weeds. I think it looks pretty like it! (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3200/2813143720_ce83e48414_m.jpg)

Theres a couple of pics of the inside in the appropriate thread :)

Oh yeah! I meant to post my a-frames too :)

I get so inspired when I see your houses, sixtyten. Loving the cottages, the white one is my favorite cause I love the roof.

Great work on the flats, Declan. I want an AL type EP too. Love the colors on the exterior.

I am on a cottage kick too, but wanted them to look old and uncared for.

My replacement for Mosquito Cove:

An old Riverview farmhouse:

Another older country house from 1940's:

lewisb40, that is some cute houses you got there. That 40s house is really lovely. I love playing small houses like that one - it is much more challenging

I agree with Mackat - that 1940s house is gorgeous! Nice work. :)
